Early Morning Adventure to Kawah Ijen with Dinda Trans

 

The early morning in Jember was still quiet as the Dinda Trans vehicle stopped in front of Aston Hotel Jember. It was exactly 9:00 PM local time. Two international travelers, Anantasia and Vladimir, were already waiting in the hotel lobby with small backpacks and an emerging sense of excitement, even though their eyes still showed signs of sleepiness.

"Good morning! Ready for Ijen?" greeted Alphin, the friendly guide from Dinda Trans, with a warm smile.

The journey began. Riding in a clean and comfortable car, Anantasia and Vladimir enjoyed the peaceful nighttime roads heading toward Kawah Ijen. Along the way, Alphin gave a brief explanation about Ijen Crater, the rare blue fire phenomenon, and useful tips for a safe and enjoyable hike.

At around 1:00 AM, they arrived at Paltuding, the starting point of the Kawah Ijen hike. The cold mountain air was piercing, but their adventurous spirit outshined both the chill and the sleepiness. With full gear and gas masks on, they started the hike slowly, guided patiently and informatively by Alphin.

Upon reaching the top, the sight of the glowing blue fire in the pitch-black night left Anantasia and Vladimir speechless. They couldn’t stop capturing the magical moment, while Alphin helped them find the best photo spots.

As dawn approached, the sun began to rise behind the mountains, revealing the crater with its mesmerizing turquoise lake. “This is unbelievable,” whispered Vladimir in awe.

Around 7:30 AM, they made their way back down with satisfied hearts and tired but happy bodies. On the drive back to the hotel, Anantasia and Vladimir repeatedly expressed their appreciation.

“Without Alphin and Dinda Trans, we wouldn’t have made it this amazing,” said Anantasia with a smile.
